Munich, 07 February 2018 - On 6 and 7 March, the Internet World EXPO in Munich will once again be all about e-commerce. The two Munich-based start-ups Adnymics, a software provider for the personalisation and automation of parcel inserts, and parcelLab, an expert in customised shipping communication, are also among the exhibitors presenting forward-looking solutions for retailers. At their stand, the "Post-Purchase Beer Garden" in Hall 6 / Stand B037, they will show visitors what perfect communication between retailers and their customers looks like from the order to the return - and how online shops benefit from this in a very concrete way.
Customers expect personal service from order to return
Many retailers still often forget that their customers' shopping experience does not end with the purchase. "A large part of the marketing budget in online retail is used to attract new customers in many companies. But once the order is placed, many retailers often hardly care about the recipients," explains Dominik Romer, CEO of Adnymics. "But especially after the purchase, there are numerous opportunities for shop operators to inspire their customers and turn first-time buyers into loyal regular customers."
Thinking customer service proactively
Anton Eder, co-founder and CRO of parcelLab confirms: "Unfortunately, retailers often only react when a customer complains. It is better to think proactively and answer typical questions like 'When will my parcel arrive' before the customer has even asked them." parcelLab therefore offers retailers the possibility to communicate with their customers even after the shipping confirmation and to inform them about the whereabouts of the order at any time with personalised messages. In this way, they can individually accompany the parcel all the way to the front door and also leverage upselling potential by recommending items that match the purchase. Such measures not only increase sales, but also customer loyalty. It is therefore important not to leave this touchpoint to the logistics service providers alone.
Once the parcel has reached the customer, he or she experiences another emotionally charged moment: unpacking. Here, Adnymics offers a solution for a personalised approach: based on the customer's buying and surfing behaviour, retailers can individualise their own parcel inserts and print them on-demand for each order in their own logistics. These so-called "intelligent parcel inserts" are significantly more relevant for customers than their classic predecessors - which in turn has a positive effect on customer loyalty. In addition, retailers will soon be able to use the Adnymcis software to produce third-party inserts for each order and handle their partner management, which will reduce handling and coordination efforts.

parcelLab offers online shops efficient technology and implementation for successful post-purchase communication. The goal is to provide shoppers with interesting information throughout the entire shipping process and thus create an optimal shopping experience. Important delivery events or deviations are identified and sent individualised as an email, SMS, message via Facebook or within the retailer app. In this way, companies strengthen customer loyalty and can use further upselling potential by directing online shoppers back into the shop via specific messages.
The Munich-based start-up was founded in 2014 by Anton Eder, Tobias Buxhoidt and Julian Krenge. Today, over 20 employees work for more than 280 international retailers in 32 countries and 17 languages.
The Munich-based start-up Adnymics offers software for the personalisation and automation of parcel inserts for online mail order. With the Adnymics software for "intelligent package inserts", online retailers can create personalised inserts with individual product recommendations and editorial content based on the surfing and buying behaviour of their customers and thus significantly increase their customer loyalty. In addition, the Adnymics software can also handle the entire partner management and target third-party inserts, which greatly reduces the handling costs in marketing and logistics. The high-quality own and third-party inserts are produced just-in-time in the logistics of online retailers.
