1. briefly tell us what your everyday work at parcelLab is like?

In the Munich office, I'm usually there shortly before 7:00 am and start the day with a big cup of coffee. At the moment, however, I'm on the road in Australia and here my working day already starts at 6:00 a.m. - also with a cup of coffee, but with an additional sea view. After that, I read through all the messages, emails and tasks and check what I missed at the parcelCrew back home. Apart from that, every day is very different, depending on the topics I'm working on at the moment.

2. What does your professional career look like?

After school I went to Regensburg to study civil engineering. Not my best idea: I quickly realised that this wasn't my subject at all. So I studied print and media technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. At the latest after my Bachelor's thesis (2015), it was clear to me that I definitely wanted to found and build something of my own. To gain experience and improve my soft skills, I worked in account management at an advertising agency after graduating. In 2016, the time had come and I started working on my first (theoretically) good idea: A search engine for sports and fitness products. As a founder, I gained experience in all areas that are important in a young company. From working out the business idea, founding a limited liability company and building a team to finding investors and implementing the website and branding. In these three years, I have been able to experience and learn an incredible amount. Among other things, I also learned what doesn't work so well in online shops or what could be optimised. That's how I came to parcelLab.

3. What do you like most about parcelLab and your job?

The fact that I can still learn a lot here and especially the great team. My position was created independent of any department, so I can get insights into all areas. That makes every day very exciting for me. And of course not to forget: The weekly Taaaaaco Tuesday!

4. What do you think makes parcelLab unique?

The creative and motivated people behind parcelLab: the team! Everyone pulls together and pursues a common goal. There is a great working atmosphere in which everyone is given every opportunity and freedom to contribute and implement their own ideas.

5. What are the characteristics of the perfect parcelLab applicant?

Initiative, reliability, motivation and a sense of humour.

6. How would you describe the working atmosphere at parcelLab?

Great! (At least it was when I was in the office in Munich last time).

7. What has been your favourite moment at parcelLab so far? And why?

The last funding round and of course the successful closing of it. Why? Because it confirms that we are on the right track and that everyone in the team is doing their part.

8. What qualities and strengths have you gained during your time at parcelLab?

Learning never stops and in the short year that I've been with the company, I've been able to learn a lot of new things. During the financing round, I learned even more about the evaluation and background of company key figures. Lately, I have been working more on our website and have been able to expand my knowledge of Wordpress.

9. What challenges have you already had to face during your time at parcelLab and how have you mastered them?

With a start-up, there are always new challenges - it never stops. There are also new tasks every day and I think that's a good thing, because you can grow and learn new things from them.

10. What makes Munich so attractive to you?

I've been living in Munich for nine years now and simply love the city. It only takes me about two hours to get home and apart from that I have (almost) everything I need here.

11. How would you spend your perfect weekend?

For the perfect weekend, I need at least 25 degrees. I like to be flexible about the rest. The main thing is a bit of basketball, good friends and my girlfriend.

12. What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Good-humoured bear, helpful/reliable, motivated (Credits @Coco)
