And so, we understand the importance of data security and privacy, for our customers and their customers alike. We have always been committed to upholding high standards for data handling, management and storage.

We have recently completed external certifications to demonstrate our commitment, and to reassure our customers of our competence to data management. So, we are pleased to share that parcelLab has recently become SOC 2 Type 1, HIPAA and ePrivacy certified.

SOC 2 Type I

parcelLab acquired SOC 2 Type I compliance in accordance with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for SOC for Service Organizations. To achieve the certification, our business has been audited by Prescient Assurance, a leader in security and compliance attestation for B2B, SAAS companies worldwide.

Our SOC 2 Type I audit report demonstrates to our current and future customers that our business will manage their data with the highest standard of security and compliance. We have already embarked on the next step to become SOC 2 Type II certified and fully enterprise compliant later this year.


The HIPAA laws are a series of federal regulatory standards that outline the lawful use and disclosure of protected information in the United States. To achieve HIPAA certification, our business has successfully demonstrated our compliance to the rules laid out by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as enforced by the Office for Civil Rights (OCR). Achieving this certification underlines our commitment to upholding the highest security and data protection standards in both the healthcare and retail industries.


The ePrivacy certification is designed for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to upholding data processing procedures in compliance with GDPR. Our ePrivacy certification is a ‘seal of approval’ that our data management conforms to the requirements of EU law.

Achieving this standard serves as third-party industry validation that parcelLab GmbH provides enterprise-level security for customer’s data secured in the parcelLab GmbH System.
