We are looking for a full-time Backend Engineer to join our global Customer Engineering team.
In this role you will specialize on both the data modeling as well as the technical interfaces for our solutions, and how the technical setups enables improved business functionality.
As a digital first company, we offer greater flexibility in working location. Therefore, you can work from one of our offices in London or Munich or remotely within the UK, Germany or Spain.

What you can expect:

  • Dealing with two main area of focus, related to the size of your account portfolio:
  • large scale, international enterprise customers: providing continuous development and a deep understanding of their technical infrastructure
  • mid-size retailers: creating ad-hoc custom solutions to be used by our Implementation Team and ensuring a smooth and reliable rollout
  • Defining ways to better integrate our customers with a variety of tools and systems owned by our customers This might include pushing-and-pulling data from APIs for a wide variety of purposes, such as connecting with product recommendation engines, review platforms, warehouse systems, etc.
  • Orchestrating how these integrations could weave into our customers’ existing infrastructure and maintain these projects through rollout and beyond

What you need to succeed:

  • BSc in Computer Science or in a similar discipline, or you can demonstrate a strong ability to write and understand code via other means, eg.g self-taught, Coding Bootcamp participants
  • Demonstrable experience in the following programming languages for the following purposes:
  • Data parsing: ingest data from various sources (api, files) and convert it to predefined payloads, web and file scraping
  • Experience with Vanilla/ES6 (modern functions and methods)
  • Very good understanding of Node.js
  • API/Webhook endpoints creation and maintenance (Express)
  • Extensive knowledge with database advanced querying: SQL and Mongo
