Tradeo receives 100% positive customer reviews with shipping emails

Shop operator Tradeo was able to radically increase its customer satisfaction with the help of proactive shipping messages from the Munich-based startup parcelLab. And that with minimal effort and lightning-fast direct integration into plentymarkets.

Munich, March 15, 2017 - Tradeo GmbH is an official plentymarkets advisor and operator of, one of Europe's largest online warehouse retailers for used server and network hardware. With its selection of immediately available servers from major brands such as HP, IBM or Dell, the Trusted Shops certified online retailer is one of the most important suppliers of spare parts in Germany.

However, this factor causes the retailer problems, especially in customer service: If the purchase is urgently needed for a repair, the customer's patience is particularly low and the performance pressure for the store is high. The express shipping offered is rarely chosen because of the additional costs, and instead the support team is inundated with questions about the whereabouts of the goods. A solution was therefore needed that would not involve any extra expense for the customer, but would make the waiting time for the eagerly awaited product as positive and short as possible. In addition, it was important to the company's management to implement a service that could be integrated easily, quickly and efficiently. "For me, a healthy company and a sensible optimization of work processes are just as important as the satisfaction of our customers. This is the only way to be successful as an online store!", says Sebastian Poll, CEO at Tradeo GmbH.

Increased customer satisfaction with marginal effort

In his search for a suitable solution, Sebastian Poll came across parcelLab. The decision for the young Munich-based company was easy for the CEO and his support department: customer satisfaction is Tradeo's top priority, but the fine line between under- and over-information of customers is difficult for the store operator. parcelLab's service with event-related messages relevant to the customer offered an adequate option there. Furthermore, the simple integration facilitated the step enormously.

Tradeo chose the uncomplicated, fast and direct integration into plentymarkets. No plugin is necessary for this, the reliable data transfer via API is error-free. "The technical documentation from parcelLab was very helpful in this process," says Sebastian Poll. "The whole process involved extremely low development effort for us."

Since December 2015, after a short test phase, Tradeo now sends shipping messages about delays or when a delivery is ready for pickup. A step-by-step integration of all four shipping service providers and optimization of the notifications took place, and now store operators are happy about exclusively positive reviews via the click option in emails and the absence of negative comments or complaints in support. Customers are better informed and the team is noticeably relieved.
