1. Tell us briefly what your everyday working life at parcelLab looks like?

After I have my cup of tea and fruit in the morning, I look at my new emails and start to work through them. I continually receive emails throughout the day so I try to process them as quickly as possible.

My usual day consists of making amends to communications for current customers. As well as this, I need to prepare for on-boarding conversations with new customers. To do this, I create sample emails for the new clients, make a list of the most important points for the customer and then go through this with them.

2. Tell us about your professional career

I attended both primary and secondary school in Munich. Then I trained as an office communications clerk at Deutsche Telekom AG. However, I decided that this wasn't the right career for me, so I enrolled in dual study. From 2014 to 2017, I completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Informatics at Knorr-Bremse AG and Ravensburg Cooperative State University, which was really great.

After my studies I worked as an Integration Consultant for Web Technologies for a year, before joining parcelLab in September 2018.

3. What do you like most about parcelLab and your job?

I like the open lines of communication between colleagues and the senior members of the company. I also appreciate the flat hierarchy which allows me to contribute and implement my own ideas.

What I particularly enjoy about my job is that I always have enough to do, I work independently and can manage my own time. Plus the daily contact with customers.

4. In your opinion, what makes parcelLab unique?

The employees are a mixed team with different strengths and weaknesses, that complement each other very well. Everyone understands each other, is helpful and there are seldom arguments. We all stick together - which is rare in a lot of businesses.

5. What are the characteristics of the perfect parcelLab candidate?

They should be young, dynamic and able to work independently. Motivation and initiative are also very important at parcelLab. A little professional experience would be good, but is not absolutely necessary, because you can learn (with a little technical understanding) everything you need to know for parcelLab (at least as a Technical Account Manager).

6. How would you describe the working atmosphere at parcelLab?

There is a positive working atmosphere and all employees enjoy working at parcelLab. This great team spirit is additionally strengthened by free drinks, breakfast, fruit and the infamous "Taco Tuesday".

7. What has been your favourite moment at parcelLab so far? And why?

My trial period interview, because I received positive feedback and my manager was very satisfied with me. This helped my insecurities disappear.

I also love to cooking for everyone and helping to prepare for Taco Tuesday.

8. What strengths and qualities have you gained during your time at parcelLab?

Through the learning of specialised knowledge I have become more confident and this outwardly shows when I speak to other team members and customers.

9. What challenges have you had to face during your time at parcelLab and how did you overcome them?

I often have to recognise what the problem is on my own during customer set-ups and solve it. In order to do this, I get help partly from developers or I go through the complete set-up myself to find and solve the problem.

10. What makes Munich so attractive for you?

Munich is my hometown. Most of my friends live here, as well as my parents so I know the city really well. In addition, there are so many different scenic trips you can go on nearby, like lakes, mountains etc.

11. How would you spend your perfect weekend?

My perfect weekend would be a mixture of spending time just with my boyfriend and also some time with friends. Maybe a trip with friends to a lake on one day and a barbecue and fun afternoon on the other.

12. What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

I would say: helpful, friendly and customer-oriented.
