1. Briefly tell us what your everyday working life at parcelLab looks like

I am usually one of the first people to come to the office in the morning (unfortunately nobody ever beats Andy). When I arrive, I have my routine: a bowl of cereal, a coffee and a cup of tea. Then I log onto all our social media accounts (there are a few!) and check for anything new. My day really starts once I have gone through my emails, newsletters and listened to the Tagesschau podcast (a German news podcast) on Spotify.

Each day is different and what I do depends on what is currently happening. This can range from creating content for our blog, planning our social media activities, to creating monthly newsletter and much more!

2. Tell us about your professional career

After graduating from high school, I went to London to do an internship for two months before completing my undergraduate degree in Business Administration in Nuremberg. This degree included a six month placement in Hamburg. Following this, I did another internship at Outfittery in Berlin before enrolling in a masters degree in Brand and Media Management in Würzburg. During my studies, I worked at Burda Media in Munich.

Once I had finished my studies, I decided I wanted to stay in Munich and started looking for jobs. I came across parcelLab and very quickly realised during my interview that this was the company I wanted to work for.

3. What do you like most about parcelLab and your job?

I like the variety of both creative and strategic tasks. I also have a lot of freedom in my job and can implement my own ideas. Most of all though, I like the cool people and the nice working atmosphere.

4. In your opinion, what makes parcelLab unique?

Every single employee has the opportunity to get involved and develop themselves. However, what makes parcelLab so unique for me is the people and the legendary parties (Christmas, carnival, anniversary, etc.).

5. What are the characteristics of the perfect parcelLab candidate?

Humour is at the top of the list; we are all very relaxed and like to have fun. As well as this, the applicant should be interested in being a part of something new and they must be a highly motivated individual.

6. How would you describe the working atmosphere at parcelLab?

Super relaxed and open - everyone gets along really well. I personally prefer to work with men (they are sometimes a little more manageable - this isn't always the case though!), so the current team suits me!

7. What was your favourite moment at parcelLab so far? And why?

There are so many moments at parcelLab that are unforgettable. From the legendary parties to our ski weekend in Zillertal - there is definitely a lot going on!

8. What qualities and strengths have you gained during your time at parcelLab?

I think the most important strengths and qualities that I have been able to gain are working independently, taking responsibility for my areas and building on my expertise in both social media/content and e-commerce.

9. What challenges have you had to face during your time at parcelLab and how did you overcome them?

After my former manager unfortunately left us (hey Janik!), we had no replacement for him for a while. During this time I was able to, and had to, take on many new tasks and familiarise myself with various topics. But I managed to do this well and also learned a lot during this time.

10. What makes Munich so attractive for you?

On the one hand, I like the hustle and bustle of the big city and, on the other hand, the fact that you can easily drive to the mountains or the lake. The Isar is also one of my absolute favourite places in summer. There are many cool areas in Munich like Bahnwärter Thiel and Container Collective. There's a real mix!

11. How would you spend your perfect weekend?

Definitely chilling at the Isar in summer. Otherwise I am very often found at a festival - surprisingly there are a lot of them in Munich. When the weather isn't nice, I can be found at the gym, with friends, or at a concert.

12. What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

  • Reliable Twinnie (Huyen)
  • Personable & Art Nouveau (Dennis)
  • Funny music influencer (Nisi)
