The most important at a glance

Name: Corinna Bihler (Coco Hontas/Coco Loco/Cocorona)

Position at parcelLab: Online Marketing Manager

1. Briefly tell us what your usual working day at parcelLab is like?

When I get to the office most mornings as one of the first (Andy beats no one, unfortunately), I first treat myself to some muesli, coffee and tea. After that, I log into all of our social media accounts (and there are a few) and check to see what's new. Once I've gone through my emails and newsletters and listened to the Tagesschau podcast on Spotify (you have to stay up to date), the day can really start. Then it usually depends on what's going on at the moment and that ranges from content creation for our blog and planning our social media activities to creating our monthly newsletter and much more.

2. What does your professional career look like?

After graduating from high school, I went to London for an internship for two months before completing my bachelor's degree (business administration) in Nuremberg. During my bachelor's degree, I was in Hamburg for half a year due to an internship. After I finished my bachelor, I did another internship at Outfittery in Berlin before I did my master studies in brand and media management in Würzburg. During my master's thesis, I worked as a student trainee at Burda Media in Munich. During this time, I also decided that I definitely wanted to stay in Munich. During my research, I came across parcelLab and realized relatively quickly during the job interview that I would like it there.

3. What do you like most about parcelLab and your job?

I like the variety between creative and strategic tasks. I also have a lot of freedom in my job and can implement my ideas independently. What I also particularly like here: the cool people and the pleasant working atmosphere.

4. What makes parcelLab unique in your opinion?

Every single employee has the opportunity to contribute and develop. But what makes parcelLab additionally unique for me are the people and the legendary parties (Christmas, carnival, anniversary etc.).

5. What are the characteristics of the perfect parcelLab applicant?

For us, humor is high on the list. We are all quite relaxed and also sometimes up for a joke. What's also important: The applicant should have a desire for new things and a lot of motivation.

6. How would you describe the working atmosphere at parcelLab?

Super relaxed and open. Everyone gets along very well. Personally, I prefer working with men (they are sometimes a bit more sociable, but exceptions prove the rule and of course it's not always true) and we are definitely in the majority.

7. What has been your favorite moment at parcelLab so far? And why?

There are many moments at parcelLab that I remember fondly. Starting with the legendary parties to our ski weekend in the Zillertal - there are definitely quite a few.

8. What qualities and strengths were you able to gain during your time at parcelLab?

I think the most important strengths and qualities I have gained are working independently, taking responsibility for topics and intensifying my expertise in both social media/content and e-commerce.

9. What challenges did you already have to face during your time at parcelLab and how did you master them?

After my former boss unfortunately left us (greetings to Janik!) and we didn't have a replacement for him for the time being, I could or had to take on many new tasks and familiarize myself with various topics myself. But I think that I have managed quite well and I have also learned a lot during this time.

10. What makes Munich so attractive to you?

On the one hand, the mixture of big-city hustle and bustle and, on the other hand, the opportunity to go to the mountains or the lake. The Isar is also one of my absolute favorite places in the summer. There are really many cool corners in Munich that are not as fancy as you might think (Bahnwärter Thiel and Container Collective). The mixture makes it!

11. How would you spend your perfect weekend?

In the summer definitely chill at the Isar or otherwise I can be found very often at any festivals - there are surprisingly a lot of them in Munich. If the weather does not invite to be outside, I am in the gym, with friends on the road or at some concerts to find.

12. Which three terms would your colleagues use to describe you?

  • Reliable Twinnie (Huyen)
  • Sympathetic & Youthful (Dennis)
  • Witty music fluencer (Nisi)
.
