1. Briefly tell us what your usual working day at parcelLab looks like?

In the Munich office, I'm usually there shortly before 7:00 am and start the day with a big cup of coffee. Currently, however, I'm traveling in Australia and here my workday already starts at 06:00 - also with a cup of coffee, but with an additional ocean view. After that, I read through all the messages, e-mails and pending tasks and check what I missed with the parcelCrew back home. Otherwise, however, every day is very different, depending on the topics I'm working on at the moment.

2. What does your professional career look like?

After school, I first went to Regensburg to study civil engineering. Not my best idea: I quickly realized that this wasn't my subject at all. I then studied printing and media technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. At the latest after my bachelor thesis (2015), it was clear to me that I definitely wanted to start and build something of my own. To gain experience and improve my soft skills, I worked in account management at an advertising agency after graduating. In 2016, the time had come and I started working on my first (theoretically) good idea: A search engine for sports and fitness products. As a founder, I gained experience in all areas that are important in a young company. From working out the business idea, founding a limited liability company and building a team to finding investors and implementing the website and branding. In these three years, I have been able to experience and learn an incredible amount. Among other things, I also learned what doesn't work so well with online stores or what offers potential for optimization. That's how I came to parcelLab.

3. What do you like most about parcelLab and your job?

The fact that I can still learn a lot here and especially the super team. My position was created independent of any department, so I can get insights into all areas. That makes every day very exciting for me. And of course not to forget: The weekly Taaaaaco Tuesday!

4. What makes parcelLab unique in your opinion?

The creative and motivated people behind parcelLab: the team! Everyone pulls together and pursues a common goal. There is a great working atmosphere in which everyone gets all the opportunities and freedom to contribute and implement their own ideas.

5. What are the characteristics of the perfect parcelLab applicant?

Initiative, reliability, motivation and a sense of humor.

6. How would you describe the working atmosphere at parcelLab?

Great! (At least it was when I was in the office in Munich the last time ).

7. What has been your favorite moment at parcelLab so far? And why?

The last funding round and of course the successful closing of it. Why? Because it is a confirmation that we are on the right track and everyone in the team is doing their part.

8. What qualities and strengths were you able to gain during your time at parcelLab?

Learning never stops and in the short year that I have been with the company, I have already been able to learn a lot of new things. During the financing round, I learned even more about the evaluation and background of company key figures. Lately, I've been working more on our website and have been able to expand my knowledge of Wordpress.

9. What challenges did you already have to face during your time at parcelLab and how did you master them?

With a startup, there are always new challenges - it never stops. There are also new tasks every day and I think that's a good thing, because you can grow and learn new things from them.

10. What makes Munich so attractive to you?

I have been living in Munich for nine years now and simply love the city. I only need about two hours to get home, and apart from that I have (almost) everything I need here.

11. How would you spend your perfect weekend?

For the perfect weekend I need first at least 25 degrees. With the rest of the design I am then happy to be flexible. The main thing is a little basketball, good friends and my girlfriend are there.

12. What three terms would your colleagues use to describe you?

Good-humored bear, helpful/reliable, motivated (credits @Coco).
